Free Yourself to Be Yourself
Meditation for Habituation
Habits can serve and elevate you or they can derail and destroy you. The one thing we all know is that it’s always challenging to install new, healthy habits and even more challenging to be rid of those practices that drag us down. This meditation is specifically for assisting you in moving past the addictions you have in your life—whether it be to alcohol, tobacco, food, drugs or subconscious addictions to acceptance, advancement, rejection, emotional love, etc.
Make practicing this meditation for 5-7 minutes your priority for 40 days and you will find that your true radiance will start to emerge and your old, negative habits will be left in the dust. You'll be free yourself to be yourself!

Sat Nam.
Just to be clear, because I'm not sure that it was mentioned: Lock the teeth together first. Then pulse the molars in rhythm alternately. Don't do it too hard - I had a friend break a crown doing this meditation!! Just enough pressure to get a pulse or massage of the thumb pad at the temple will do. Maintain pressure at the temples with the thumbs.
Also, I had a teacher in SuperHealth (super-health.net) teach it to me that you pulse the left and right sides of the molars alternately. This is more difficult, but could be more effective at activating the pituitary and the temporal-sphenoidal suture. It's not clear in the description, but it could be interpreted this way.
Also, you can eventually work up to 20, and ultimately 31 minutes. But 5-7 is sufficient for a 40 day practice.
What this meditation does is re-set and balance your pineal gland, affecting the area of the brain directly beneath the pineal gland. Basically it corrects the imbalance that makes it seem like an addiction is unbreakable. Since the pineal regulates all the glands, it actually re-regulates the entire glandular system of the body.
I had a friend correct her relationship to food with this meditation - in 40 days she rid herself of a lifelong conflict with bulimia! Pretty impressive.
Please share your experiences with this meditation.
Many blessings and happy new year.
How important is it to name the habit before starting? If I have a few habits and am not sure where to start, will this meditation take care of all those things?
Regarding naming the habit before starting the meditation... it's possible that most addictions come from one source in the psyche, so it would be fine to focus on all of them, but see them as one. Or, you could start with the "easiest" addiction and work up from there. It's important to remember that a meditation won't "take care" or cure addictions, but is a valuable tool in shifting the nervous system and psyche in releasing the need to have such a dependence. Do this meditation for 40 days then let us know how it goes for you. Best of luck!
