Wise Up

Access Your Inner Guide

Many spiritual paths exalt the development of wisdom as a quality far greater than book knowledge. Wisdom combines intelligence, intuition and experience. Self-knowledge, sincerity and service are hallmarks of a wise person—who might show up in the form of a small child or an aged sage.

Here’s a fun way to seek wisdom in your life: Write down a question on a piece of paper and place it on your altar or in a special place. Meditate and ask for wisdom and trust that you will be provided with guidance. Throughout your day, be aware of how your environment gives you subtle (or not so subtle) clues to your question. You may receive an email, stumble upon a book or have a conversation that offers valuable feedback. At the end of the day, reflect on the signs you’ve received and open the paper. Wisdom is at your fingertips!
