Who Ya Gonna Call?

Form A Circle of Support

Need a piece of heavy furniture moved? Advice on your taxes? A massage after an intense workout? The people you call on to fill these needs are your own personal “Circle of Support”—the family, friends and professionals who help you through the everyday ups and downs in life. You are not an "island," which is why it's important to be prepared so that when trouble comes knocking you'll know who to call on for the job.

It takes time to cultivate your unique support team. Consider your individual lifestyle and professional needs, as well as your budget. Like the old-time Rolodex, it helps to know where to turn for an acupuncturist, dog walker, massage therapist, house painter, plumber or life coach. Identify the gaps in your team, ask those you trust who they recommend and investigate before adding them to your circle. That way, no matter what situation might arise, you’ll have the perfect solution at your fingertips.

Nice, practical advice. It doesn't hurt to check in regularly with this and see what's changed and what needs to change - something I need to start doing!
