Travel Zen

Joy in the Journey

If you’re feeling stuck in a rut or need to expand your horizons and see what lies over the next mountain, a little road trip might be just the ticket. Getting out on the road can put your life into focus and give you a new perspective. A road trip could be as elaborate as a cross-country trek or as simple as an excursion to the next town. You might plan your trip for months or spontaneously jump on a train or in your car for a spiritual pilgrimage to shake off the cobwebs.

The key to “travel zen” is to understand that the journey is as important as the destination. Take time to watch yourself as you move through new places and meet new people. Stop and admire the scenery, write your thoughts in a journal and don’t be afraid to try a back road to discovery. Remember, too, that Life is a journey, so be sure to enjoy the experience of adventure every time you walk out the door!

Travelling is a great way to take a break from the pressures of everyday life! It's important to remember to take time for yourself, whether that be a relaxing nightly routine, or a vacation.
