Scent-ual Pleasures

Elevate with Essential Oils

Walking in the morning dew, the scent of eucalyptus, a whiff of sea air or orange blossoms fills your nostrils and transports you out of the moment. The power of aroma to affect mood is well documented. The “smell receptors” in your nose communicate with the parts of your brain where emotions and memories are stored. Vibrationally, your chakras also resonate with aromatherapy—so get out some essential oils whenever you need a little lift.

There are many mood-enhancing essential oils—try some bergamot, rose, mandarin, grapefruit, lavender or geranium. For your bath ritual, add a few drops of one or more of these oils to your bath or blend your favorite scents with almond or sesame oil for an aroma-filled body oil. A diffuser is a great way to bring some “scent-ual” pleasure into your home of office. Experiment with the power of aromatherapy to uplift and heal all your moods!
