Stay in the Neutral Zone
Up one day, down the next—whether it’s the political climate, keeping your business afloat in a tough economy or working to keep your family and personal life at an even keel—life can take you on a wild ride. We all experience challenges and worries of all sizes and scopes in life, but today you may feel like it takes Herculean strength to navigate the complexities of a technologically-advanced, humanistically-struggling culture.
Avoid the emotional teeter-totter with help from healthy diet, supportive friends, regular exercise and a consistent yoga and meditation practice. Yoga keeps the nervous system strong and the “prana” flowing, allowing you to be more centered, relaxed and able to roll with the punches. Meditation allows for reflection, relaxation and an understanding of what is truly meaningful. Even if you can’t avoid life’s ups and downs, by remaining in the neutral zone, you can find ways to glide through those moments in a calm, cool and centered state of being.
