Pattern Interrupt

Shake Things Up

Here we go again! The rat race, the hamster wheel, the not-so-merry-go-round - over and over again. Our daily life and habits can become boring, not to mention unhealthy. While doing the exact same thing time after time, day after day can help you develop discipline, it can also affect your spontaneity, creativity and enjoyment of life. From dullness can arise the creeping crawl of fatigue, anxiety and depression.

So do something different! Consciously interrupt your pattern. Find simple ways to break the monotony. Drive to work via a new route. Switch the position of your bed. Take the stairs, not the elevator. Go for a walk in a new neighborhood. Bicycle or walk to work. Eat vegetables for breakfast. Even making the list can be fun and endless. A short half-day jaunt to a nearby beach, park, or forest can also be a simple way out of the maze. Whichever way you choose, act on it and rekindle some of the creative joy and freedom that's inside of you.

I think that a lot of the time people get stuck in thier work routine and can always use a reminder that there is more to life. Even if it is changing the route you drive to get there. Great information!!!!
