Heal with Goldenseal

Gift of Nature's Pharmacy

Goldenseal—a bitter root known as a healing plant and material dye for centuries by Native Americans—became popular in North America in the 1800s with European settlers who discovered its ability to treat everything from skin conditions, diarrhea, infections and digestive problems to shrinking tumors. Today, goldenseal continues to be popular as a natural anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial remedy for a wide variety of health conditions.

Available as a nutritional supplement—as well as in herbal tinctures and skin creams—goldenseal assists in healing minor wounds and fungal infections of the skin (used topically). It is also ingested as a tea, tincture or powder/pill for bladder infections, colds and flu, sinus and chest infections and for oral hygiene. Not to be used by pregnant or nursing women, goldenseal is one of the top-selling herbal supplements…proof of its lasting gift as a treasure of nature’s pharmacopeia. If you haven’t tried goldenseal yet, give its healing properties a closer look!
