Germ-Fighting Yoga

Kriya for Disease Resistance

Be your body’s own best friend by getting your glands and digestion in tip-top shape to ward off bacteria, viruses and “super bugs” that resist conventional treatment. Develop a strong metabolic balance and lymphatic system to “up the odds” against persistent colds and illness. Yoga that supports your immune system helps you stay youthful and healthy—whatever your age and physical condition.

A holistic lifestyle—consisting of immune-boosting foods, regular exercise, herbs and essential oils, as well as visualizing your health and well-being—is your best weapon against the stresses of daily life that can weaken the immune system over time. This cold and flu season, take some time each week to do some disease-fighting yoga. It will pay off in the dividends of good health and longevity.

In your downloadable pdf "Kundalini Yoga for Disease Resistance" it shows something called the triangle pose, but most yoga students and teachers know this drawing as the Downward Dog???

Cate: Great question! Yogi Bhajan, master of Kundalini Yoga, taught this wonderful set. Triangle pose, as depicted in this Kriya for Disease Resistance, is part of the science of "angles and triangles" that are key to achieving the goals of Kundalini Yoga,
including strengthening the aura (electromagentic field), which is important to strengthen the nervous system and help prevent disease. This posture in Hatha and other yoga traditions is known as Downward Dog, as you pointed out. Thanks for sharing...enjoy
doing this wonderful kriya. --Yogamint Editor
