Flip the Switch
Lighting Up a Bad Day

Computer issues, traffic jams, lost keys… it seems there are infinite possibilities for having a bad day. A novel way to get out of the “bad day blues” is to turn the challenges into victories. What starts out as a problem might be a blessing…offering a way to get a new perspective that only happens when things don’t go as planned. Like the songwriter said: “Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.”
So, the next time life hands you a lemon, turn it into the proverbial lemonade. Switch on the creativity light bulb and fill that “unforgiving moment” with something uplifting and new. When your lunch date cancels, you get a flat tire, or you have to spend time waiting in the doctor’s office, challenge yourself to look on the bright side of the situation. When you tell the universe you can take whatever “sour” it gives and turn it into something sweet, you have conquered the mind and you will gain the world.
