Better to Give
The Blessing of Generosity
We’ve all heard that it is “better to give than to receive.” Why is that? Whether you clean out your closet to donate clothes to the needy or pick up a few extra cans at the grocery store for the Thanksgiving food drive, when you give from a space of pure generosity, you tell the universe that you already experience abundance and are open to receiving all that is available for you.
Giving to others encourages your heart to stay open and grateful. If you are feeling a little worried or anxious about money right now, try a simple gesture of giving. Volunteer to spend a few hours with the elderly who need some comfort during the holidays. Give away things you haven’t used in a while to those less fortunate. Set aside a few dollars (or a larger tithing) to serve a humanitarian cause. Bless yourself with your own generosity as you experience the universal flow of energy. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
